Drama and Confusion Over witchdoctors utterances on Otieno Kajwang'

A powerful witchdoctor from Homa Bay County has shocked residents of Mbita Constituency by
claiming that the late...Homa Bay Senator, Otieno Kajwang, who passed away on Tuesday night as a result of heart attack, isnot really dead. The witchdoctor, who is said to have come out of a forest in Mbita, chanting and ululating in a strange language that nobody understood, said the gods from Luo Nyanza had not granted Kajwang’s wish to die and therefore he will live again.

Addressing a huge crowd in the remote Mbita Village, the witchdoctor, who also happens to come from the same Omolo clan as Raila Odinga, told Luos not to despair about the alleged death of Otieno Kajwang because all was well - he will live again.

He noted that the gods showed him a vision in which Otieno Kajwang was addressing a huge
political rally accompanied by Raila Odinga in which, he sang his famous mapambano
hit song two weeks from now and he can only do so either physically or in spirit. He told the doctors to hold on to their findings about the cause of
Kajwang’s alleged death a little longer because a big surprise that will shock the entire
country is coming.

A dying old Kenyan man last Emotional words of wisdom to His son

WORDS FROM A FATHER TO A SON on Marriage
1. My son, if you keep spending on a woman and she never asked you if you’re saving or investing, and she keeps enjoying the attention, don’t marry her.
2. My son, a woman could be a good wife to you, some could be a good mother to your children but if you’ve found a woman like a mother to you, your children and your family, please don’t let her go.
3. My son, don’t confine the position of your wife to the kitchen, where did you get that from? Even in our days, we had farm- lands where they worked every morning . . . that was our office.
4. My son, if I tell you that you’re the head of the house, don’t look at your pocket; look if you will see a smile on your wife’s face and children. And always remember that you are the priest of your home.
5. My son, if you want to have along life, let your wife be in-charge of your salary, it will be difficult for her to spend it when she’s aware of the home needs and bills to pay but if it’s in your care, she will keep asking even when all has been spent.
 6. My son, don’t ever beat your woman, the pain in her body is nothing to be compared to the wound on her heart and that means you may be in trouble living with a wounded woman.
7. My son, now that you’re married, if you live a bachelor kind of life with your wife, you will soon be single again. Be home early and spend time with her and the kids
8. My son, in our days, we had many wives and many children because of our large farm-lands and many harvests, there are hardly any land for farming anymore, so embrace your woman closely.
9. My son, under the cocoa tree that I did meet your mother could be your eateries and restaurants of nowadays, but remember, the closet thing we did there was to embrace each other. Be patient son!
10. My son, don’t be carried away when you start making more money, instead of spending on those tiny legs that never knew how hard you worked to get it, spend it on that woman that stood by you all along. 11. My son, when I threw little stones or whistled at the window of your grannies house, to call her out, it was not for sex, it was because I missed her so much.
12. My son, remember, when you say your wife has changed, there could be something you’ve stopped doing too.
13. My son, your mother rode the bicycle with me before I bought that tortoise car outside there, any woman that won’t endure with you in your humble beginnings should not enjoy your wealth
14. My son, don’t compare your wife to any woman, there are ways she’s enduring you too and has she ever compared you to any man?
15. My son, there is this thing you people call feminism, well, if a woman claims to have equal
rights with you in the house, divide all the bills into two equal parts, take one part and ask her to start paying the other part.
16. My son, I met your mother a virgin and I took more yams to her father, if you don’t meet your wife a virgin don’t blame her, what I didn’t tell you is that our women had prestige.
17. My son, I didn’t send your sisters to school because I was foolish like many to think a female child won’t extend my family name, please don’t make that mistake, the kind of female achievers I see nowadays have made the male-gender an ordinary tag.
18. My son, your mother once burnt my clothes because she was angry, I did not raise my hand to beat her
because of a day like this, so that I can be proud to tell you that I never for once beat your mother.
19. My son, in our days, our women had more of natural beauty, though I wouldn’t lie to you, some had minor painting of their appellation mostly on their arms, the ones you people now call tattoos, but don’t forget that they didn’t expose any part of their body like your women of nowadays.
20. My son, your mother and I are not interested in what happens in your marriage, try to handle issues without always coming to us.
21. My son, remember I bought your mother’s first sewing machine for her, help your wife achieve her dreams just as you’re pursuing yours.
22. My son, don’t stop taking care of me and your mother, it’s a secret of growing old and having children to take care of you too.
23. My son, pray with your family, there is a tomorrow you don’t know, talk to God that knows everything, everyday.

Five Key business Ideals For businessmen in Kenya and beyond.

A STORY FOR START UP SMALL BUSINESS FOR KENYANS AND BEYOND        'HUSTLEMOTIVATION'
When I started doing business about six years ago, I made the mistake of over-relying on text book knowledge. Subsequently my first two businesses failed. I however took that as a learning experience and even started writing a book, HUSTLECONOMICS, I mean, something more relevant to the streets. I had already mastered accounting and finance in class, and yet that was not even half way enough.

Here is an extract of some of the lessons learnt!
1. Being nice is a luxury that only the rich can afford: This does not mean that you should be rude, it simply means that you should not be nice to the extent that people take advantage. It means you should clearly state what you mean, re-evaluate the situation if it is a lose – win situation, and know when to compromise when a win--win situation is an option. In simpler words, learn to say ‘NO’ when if by saying ‘YES’ you will have lost.

2. Respect Money: People love money and yet do not respect it. How do you treat someone/
something you respect? Do you waste, misuse, ignore or go throwing it (or that Person) around? No, if you want your money to stick around longer, respect it. Money should give you financial independence and not stress. Eventually, it is those who respect money that have money work for them. Finance experts say, spend less, save more, invest wisely and give generously (in that order). And as my dad always told me, neither a lender, nor a borrower be! A man and his friends, as one story goes, went out to have a drink. His wallet was so much packed with notes that it was hard to fold. He had one of his friends drive over the wallet just to fold it. Once in the pub, his table littered with bottles and nyama choma delivered, he could not wait for water to wash his hands. He took a beer, washed his hands with it, went to his wallet, pulled a few notes and wiped his
hands to the disbelief of his friends. That was a few years ago. I wished this was a fable, but the
teller of the story pointed to me the man in his current delapidated condition. 'That is what happens when you abuse(disrespect) money,' he said.

3. Invest in people: People are the most powerful of resources. Yes it is true that as per human nature some are bound to stab your back, but there will be twice as many that if you empower, will make you great. It should also follow that if you bet on someone and it does not work out, be the first to kick them out.

4. Guard your reputation: Reputation is like a big house of
cards, it takes time to build but just one false move and it all comes tumbling down. There was a
research conducted by some social scientists called ‘In trust, we trust,’ and the conclusion will amaze you; REPUTATION WILL BE THE CURRENCY OF THE FUTURE. So guard your reputation at all costs. Being bad, greedy, corrupt, et al might work for you in the short run, but definitely not in the future.

5. Love one person, leave the rest: This mostly applies to men, until you realize that the time, the money and the energy you waste on flings is not worthy it, then you will always be on the same rat race path. Instead, make that one person that deserves it be your partner and friend, and there will be no limit as to what you can achieve.
