WAS UHURU MISADVISED ON ICC ?

Even as the president readies himself for the Hague date, Kenyans have expressed different opinions over the ICC's decision to call on the president to answer to the concerns raised by the office of the prosecutor of his lack of cooperation with the office. A section of Kenyans feel that the president should not have fled to Hague based court as that is an infringement of the country's sovereignty and democracy. Some sections have questioned the presidents advisers decision to allow him travel to the court. Even as the question of whether to try the president back in East African Courts tones down, the legislatures allied to the president party like a Moses Kuria ,  have shifted gears and now claims that the international court is targeting only Africans . he terms the courts move to have the president continue with his case as a racist move.

The members of jubilee Coalition have expressed fears that this may be a ploy by the ICC to finally lock the president in Netherlands as he proceeds with his case. A jubilee Senator had previously  threatened to mobilize youths to block the Airport run way in case the ICC demanded the president to be present in the court to follow his trials.

The elite group of advisors on the hand led by Mutahi Ngunyi  on the other hand have expressed confidence on the decision by the president to honor the summons as intelligent and will embarrass the Hague based court and the prosecutors office which had wished the president declined the summons. A majority felt the case is on the verge of falling and expressed optimism of its final destiny.
