The Intresting CV of Joseph Kasaine Ole Nkaissery the Kenya's New Cabinet Secretary

The man Joseph Kasaine Ole Nkaissery was born on the 28th November of 1949, 14 years before independence. Nkaissery hails from the Maasai community, he was born in Kajiado Constituency, Kenya which he later represented as a member of Parliament from 2002 to present under the KANUOrange Democratic Party , Coalition Of Reforms and Democracy respectively.

Nkaissery went to Ilbisil Primary School before joining Olkejuado High School in 1967. He latter joined Kenyatta University for his degree studies1971.  He however abandoned his studies at Kenyatta University  and joined the Armed Forces Training College in Lanet where he got Military studies from 1972 to 1984. In 1985 Nkaissery joined Defense Staff College , Military Academy in Dehra Dun, India upto Late 1986.

In 1996 he went to the  Kennedy School Havard University in USA for leadership and development Course and later from 1967 to United States Army College, USA for Post graduate Diploma, strategic Leadership and Management.

Nkaissery served in the Kenya Defence Forces in various capacities ; Commandant  Battalion,  Second in Command, Combat Instructor, GOC Western Deputy Commandant/Chief Instructor-brigade,  Commander Chief of Personnel ,Military Assistant to the Chief of General Staff, until he retired at the position of a Major General 1973 to 2002 when he joined politics. In 2003 he vied for the Member of Parliament of Kajiado Central under KANU ticket and won. In 2007 he vied on ODM ticket won and in also 2013 under the CORD Coalition. Nkaissery served as an Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Defense in the coalition government between 2007 to 2013.

The legislator has been appointed to serve in the position of the Country's Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government, today 02/12/2014 by the president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta. He has been very vocal on matters Maasai community and he even differed with his party over Nyumba Kumi initiative which was brought to help fight the rampant in the country. His appointment comes hours after 36 people were Killed in fresh attacks in Mandera, Weeks after a similar attack was carried inside on a bus headed for Nairobi from Mandera where 30 Kenyans were Killed by suspected Alshaabab Militants.
